About Us
The mission of the Purnell Museum is to acquire, conserve
and display artifacts, and to interpret the history of
Worcester County through exhibits and programs in order
to promote the cultural heritage of the region.

Become a member of the Julia A. Purnell Museum
and help to support the interpretation of local
history. Members receive a quarterly newsletter,
advance notice of programs, 10% discount on all
gift store purchases, and free admission to the
museum. Please fill out online membership
form to become a member of the Julia A. Purnell
Museum. You can also print, fill out and mail form to the museum together with membership fee. |

Traveling from Salisbury, Maryland to Snow Hill, take
Route 12 South to the center of town. Turn right at Market
Street and go four blocks. The Museum is located at the
corner of Market and Water Streets.
Traveling from Ocean City, take Route 50 West to 113
South. Follow Route 113 and bear right onto Route 113
Business (which becomes Market Street). The Museum is
located on Market Street four blocks past the traffic
light.
