What We Have: The Purnell Museum offers a diverse array of exhibits about the region's heritage, from a display about local Native American history to a recreated 19th century General Store. Along with permanent exhibit, the museum presents several temporary exhibits each year. For more information about current, new and temporary exhibits check our calendar of events or call (410) 632-0515
Our Educational Mission: Getting kids excited about their region's heritage encourages them to be tomorrow's community stewards. Making history interesting and accessible for young people is one of our priorities. The museum's school tour programs were developed based on input from local educators and are intended to enhance classroom curriculum. Field Trip at the Julia A. Purnell Museum
